Christianity is not a game of emotion. We are called to recognize the wisdom of God and not to be going after signs and wonders.
The best of all miracles is that of a changed life. We heard the word of God preached to us almost every day. Miracles have fertile ground in the life of those who having listened to God’s word, have put upon themselves his life.
The Lord said in the gospel, “This generation is an evil generation; it seeks sign, but no sign shall be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” When the people Nineveh heard Jonah, they repented.
The Queen of Sheba likewise traversed a long distance to listen to the wisdom of Solomon. Though, king Solomon was a great exorcist who, used to cast out demons out of people, the visit of the queen was as a result of his wisdom. She did not go to him to witness his demonstration of power but, to tap wisdom from him.
The moment we recognise the Lordship of Jesus in our lives, our story will change. The greatest good is that which makes us better persons.
May our hearts be stirred whenever the word of God is preached to us and may we live our life by his divine wisdom, through Christ our Lord.
