HOMILY OF MONDAY OF THE 5TH WEEK OF EASTER.

Acts 14:5-18, John 14:21-26

THEME: A MEETING IN THE EYE

Everyone is born with the principle of life. If we are dead inside, there is no outside force that can save us. When we are completely dead to the spark of God in us, we can never see the brightness of his light anytime it shines around us. Heaven helps those who help themselves.

A man sat there who had never walked in his life, because his feet were crippled from birth; and as he listened to Paul preaching, he managed to catch his eye. Seeing that the man had the faith to be cured, Paul said in a loud voice, ‘Get to your feet – stand up’, and the cripple jumped up and began to walk.”

We must allow ourselves to stay motivated. We must not lose hope.

On the other hand, let’s work towards bringing out the best in others. Our words and deeds must be strong enough to evoke faith in others. We are called to minister grace and offer hope. Paul’s preaching produced enough faith in the crippled man. When the power of the word on Paul’s tongue and the spark of God in the cripple man met, healing took place.

May our steps and all we do bring life to all who encounter us, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
