This work of renewal brought him many trials and much suffering, but his deep faith faith gave him the energy to continue. He wrote masterfully about the spiritual life and mystical union with God. Renown for wisdom and sanctity, he died in 1591.)_ Daily Missal.

R1:- Numbers 24:2-7.15-17a
PS:- 25:4-5ab.6 and 7cd.8-9 (R.4b)
Accl:- Psalm 85:8
Gospel:- Matthew 21:23-27

When we are informed by God or we allow ourselves to be instructed by him, our knowledge will always beat the imagination of human authority.
Divine wisdom is not distributed by age or level of education. Rather, it is poured into every heart that is teachable.

The chief priests and the elders of the people were astonished at the teaching of Jesus. And they were forced to ask him, “by what authority are you doing these things, and who gave you the authority?”

When we open ourselves to the prompting of the Holy Spirit and we give ourselves to God, we shall surely be channels of his marvels. St John of the Cross, having submitted himself to God, became a saintly dispenser of God’s all-powerful words.

We must know that the working of God transcends creed or religion. It is more than tradition. If we are humble and we are not intoxicated by our pride or position, we will always recognize God in whoever he has deign to manifest himself at any given time.

May we be channels of God’s divine grace. May no human standard set us against the work of God. May we always recognize God’s presence all the days of our lives. Amen.
