*THEME: KNOWING WHAT REALLY MATTERS.*
*
The moment we know our mission, side attractions and quest for cheap popularity appeal less to us.
A true deliverance minister rate every minute of preaching the word of God above the the hour he spent in deliverance section. While he is committed to demonstrating the power of God, he always gives the word of God a primal place in his ministry. The power is more in the word.
However, unlike some of modern day ministers who often gives microphone to those under deliverance so as to trumpet their power over demons, Jesus would not allow the demon to speak. Likewise, he couldn’t be debarred by the quest of the miracle seekers who would kept him from leaving them. He said,
” _I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other cities also, for I was sent for this purpose.”_
We shall be known for the purpose for which we are made. Any other name we make for ourselves only stops at the altar of man. Our seat in the spiritual realm is decorated with every step we make to serve our mission on earth.
More so, when our thinking is base, we muse over topics or issues that add no feather to our spiritual cap. Paul said in the first reading, “for while there is jealousy and strife among you, you are not of the flesh, and behaving like ordinary men?” When we lack spiritual sight, we turn our Christian gathering to mere social gathering and we begin to judge things using our sensual sense.
May the Lord open our hearts that we may know what really matters. May our spirit be released from earthbound passions that we may gain the insight to always strike the notes that leads to our ultimate destiny. Amen.
