The best way to love God is to appreciate the wonder of our being and as such, allow his will to be done in our lives.
In as much as we are all made in God’s own image, we should know that no one is a stranger to the other.
To meet the other is to meet God. The other is a simple reflection of ourselves.
Those who love only themselves, will surely see others as things. Things are meant to be used.
It takes Godly instinct to see the face of God in a fellow human being without discrimination.
Even in one ‘s home, one can be a stranger. Hence, how much love we receive from others shows how much we are welcomed by them and the limit of our existence in their world.
More so, the measure of love we give others determines how we see them; as people, slaves, servants, friends, beloved, etc.
It is obvious that we cannot treat others outside how we define them. Our treatment is judged by the mode we give them.
” _You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind…….You shall love your neighbour as yourself”_ Matthew 22: 35-40.
May the love of God move us to see his reflection in all those around us in Jesus name. Amen.
