THEME: KNOWING THE RESURRECTED JESUS

To meet Jesus after his resurrection is to meet power. Though it took him time to fully convince his disciples that has truly risen, the moment they were convinced, everything about them changed. Their boldness was second to none and their faith in his miraculous power intensified.

Meeting Jesus at the sea, Peter and the other disciples were able to recognize him when they saw the result of heeding his words.

_So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, for the quantity of fish. That disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, It is the Lord_ .

Moreover, in our first reading today, as Peter and John were boldly preaching about Jesus, people were receiving healing, signs and wonders attended their words. They preached without fear, and more numbers were to the followers of the way.

Therefore, belief in the resurrected Jesus is a root of power. Wherever his name is called upon with firm faith, he manifest his power.

Great things happen when we keep a steady consciousness of God’s presence around us and we strive always to heed his words.

May our knowledge of the Lord increase. May his resurrection power clear all our doubts, that we may work mightily in his name. Amen.
