A FACE LIFT AT SPIRITAN POSTULATE, KOKO
Access to sustainable energy greatly a boost to convenience in homes and institutions. It addresses a longstanding issue in Nigeria where power outages have become routine. Recognizing this need, the Provincial Administration of the Holy Ghost Fathers and Brothers, Nigeria Southwest Province, took steps to improve energy reliability by installing a solar inverter system at Spiritan Postulate Koko, Delta State. This facility, the school of initial formation, is vital to the Spiritans’ mission.
Under the leadership of Fr. Augustine Nwodo, CSSp, the Provincial Superior, this project was executed alongside an effort to elevate and sand-fill the school grounds, with plans to install interlocking tiles on the floor. This initiative, which enhances both functionality and aesthetic appeal, is highly commendable.
Spiritan Postulate Koko is led by Rev. Fr. Aloo Joseph, CSSp, the director who guides newly admitted candidates through their initial formative journey within the congregation. Fr. Aloo collaborates with other priests and visiting lecturers to provide a well-rounded education and spiritual formation for postulants.
However, such impactful projects are only possible through the generosity of friends and benefactors who are committed to supporting the Spiritan mission. These donors contribute to the training of future priests or provide financial support for various missionary endeavors. They are called friends of the Spiritans.
