THEME: *HOW GOD SHOWS HIMSELF*
God makes himself known not just by words but also by his works. For those who refuse to believe him by his words, his works should be enough evidence of his presence. When we reject his words and refused to recognize his works in our midst, we suffer from spiritual aridity.
The Lord Jesus told the Jews when were doubting his identity,
” I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Fathers name, they bear witness to me; but you do not believe, because you do not belong to my sheep.”
When we take the path of the lost sheep, we suffer the fate of those who do not understand how the kingdom of God operates. God knows the people he grants the grace of those who listen. He shows himself more to those who appreciate his works in the midst of his people.
More so, when God is working in our midst and we allow ourselves to be used by him, we become a witnessing community. It will be evident and people will see his mark among us. When people saw how the grace of God was demonstrated among the early believers at Antioch, they gave them the name Christians.
May our ears be opened to God’s words and may our sight be sharp to see the wonders of the Lord that we always grateful for the marvel of his life in us. Amen.
