*THEME: GREED AND BETRAYAL : GOD SURRENDERING TO MAN.

It is disheartening to discover that the one eating with us at table is our betrayer. It takes maturity to share our food with a known murderer.

Jesus knew who it was that would betray him, yet he did not display any act that can betray how he felt. Even, none of the disciples could suspect the suspect. And Judas was playing along though he knew his game plan.
However, it takes humility for God to come to this level. And Jesus surrendered himself without violence to those who came to arrest him to be killed.

Nevertheless, Jesus the Lamb laid down his life there at the banquet table. It was a choice. He surrendered himself for the love of man, despite the betrayals that will trail him.

Moreover, greedy people, who are only bent on satisfying their own quest are special tools in the hands of Satan. Their darkened mind cannot allow them to interpret the language of love. The moment Judas took the morsel from Jesus, Satan entered him and he set out to betrayed his master.

Greed is a killer.

May nothing in us induce us into biting the finger that fed us. May our selfish desires not kill the visions of God concerning our life.
