THEME: OUR JOURNEY INTO TRUE LIFE.
The more we know, the greater our options of choice. Life and death are in our power of choice. When we move far away from God, we run the risk of loosing life, but when we draw closer to him, we are journeying closer to our eternal destiny.

The Lord invites us like he did to the Israelites in the first reading, ” _I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before life and death, blessing and curse, therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live, loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice, and clinging to him, for that means life to you and length of days.”_

Moreover, the Lord Jesus said in the gospel, that, “For whoever would save his life will loose it; whoever looses his life for my sake, he will save it.”_

Real life is not about pursuing our convenience, but putting God in the fore front. Life is more than mere existence. He who fulfils his life goal on earth and finally inherit eternal life is the one who truly has life.

As we journey in the Lenten season, it is good to learn to recognize and listen to the voice of God whose way leads to life.

May the grant us full access to the land which he has promised to give to those who trust in him and listen to his promptings. Amen.
