THEME: THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF LOVE
The power of love can drive individuals to extraordinary acts they wouldn’t normally undertake. When someone feels genuinely loved, they become capable of giving anything in return. Love can inspire selflessness and motivate individuals to go beyond their limits. It takes a different dimension, the moment one is found by the love of God. It makes one to serve him in a manner unintelligible to human understanding.
Providentially, when the divine love of Christ found Mary Magdalene, her life never remained the same. Having experienced the transformative love of Jesus, she kept following the Lord even beyond the grave. Early in the morning, in tears, she came to the tomb where Jesus was laid, and to her amazement, she didn’t find the body. When the Lord appeared to her, she couldn’t recognize him as such, until he called her name.
In our troubles and disappointment, we must not give up on Jesus. He knows our names. He knows our soul search and has a place for us in the kingdom of his Father. And he tells us to continue to bear witness to him, that he is alive.
Like Mary, let us always cling unto Jesus. Let us wipe our tears and never cease to proclaim the goodness the goodness of the Lord near and far.
May the Love of God ever radiate in our hearts. Amen.
